About the event

Sue Ferrers plays the hauntingly beautiful and rare Swedish nyckelharpa, or keyed-fiddle, an instrument dating back to the Middle Ages. She learned and honed the craft of playing nyckelharpa while living in Germany where she worked as a freelance musician, playing everything from intimate concerts in church settings to Gothic Rock in sold-out stadiums.

Sue is currently based on the Gold Coast and recently released an her first single on Spotify, a tune about Vittra“ (Lady of the Woods) composed by Emelius Lundberg, for which she is a finalist in the World Music section of the 2024 Queensland Music Awards, to be presented in Brisbane in April.

And, she's also a finalist in the Folk Music Award in the  Instrumentalist of the Year category.

Sue is delighted to be collaborating with the Westside Orchestra for this truly unique concert.

Join us afterwards for some delicious food!
