THE WESTSIDE ORCHESTRA

The Westside Orchestra is a community orchestra located in Ashgrove. The orchestra comprises a core of approximately 20 enthusiastic players, ranging in age from teens to 70s. The orchestra rehearses once a week and performs both classical and contemporary pieces regularly throughout the year.

We rehearse Tuesday evenings during school term at St Pauls’s Anglican Church, Ashgrove at the corner of Jubilee Tce and Waterworks Road.

SHARE OUR HISTORY

Founded in 2000, The Westside Orchestra was formed after a meeting at The Gap State High School to encourage high school graduates and adults in the community to continue to play their orchestral instruments and to add to the life of the community of the north west. The orchestra has had a number of accomplished conductors including David Law, Marilyn Terlich, John Roatar and currently led by Helentherese Good.
